Description
The National Museum of Forest Service History is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich legacy of the U.S. Forest Service and the American conservation movement. Open seven days a week, the museum welcomes visitors of all ages to explore stories, exhibits, and experiences that connect people to our shared public lands history.
This is an especially exciting time to join the National Museum of Forest Service History as we continue to grow and expand our impact. Our campus currently includes a historic ranger cabin that serves as our Visitor Center & Gift Shop, as well as an interpretive trail with interactive exhibits, picnic areas, and free activities for children and families.
In mid-July 2026, all operations will move into the National Conservation Legacy Center, a new world class museum at the same address, creating even more opportunities to welcome visitors and bring the American conservation story to life.
We are seeking an outgoing, dependable, and enthusiastic Retail Sales Specialist for our new gift shop in the Center. You must enjoy working with people, take pride in creating a welcoming visitor experience, and have a strong knowledge of retail sales.
